Campoamor and Dehesa de Campoamor are located in the south of Orihuela Costa and are the most affluent of its residential areas. They really are just different parts of the same area but as is often the case in Spain have two different names. It is also one of the least commercial areas in Orihuela Costa, with a spattering of shops, bars and restaurants along its beach and marina, further shops and bars in its residential areas and one main commercial centre.
What Campoamor does have are wonderful golf courses and stunning properties. Its two 18 hole golf courses are walking distance apart and offer different challenges for both novices and the more experienced player. They offer good practice facilities, driving range, hire equipment, lovely club houses and are surrounded by splendid townhouses, bungalows and villas. Further beautiful villas boasting landscaped gardens and swimming pools lie front line to the beach.
Aside from its upmarket properties, the wide stretch of golden sand beach has great facilities. Visitors will find wheelchair access, children's play areas, beach sports, sun loungers, parasols and foot showers. Surrounding the picturesque marina are a selection of bars and restaurants including the popular Jardines del Mar Beach Club complete with a pool and Arabian tent beds.
La Fuente Centre
This is one of the most popular commercial centres in Orihuela Costa. Within walking distance from both golf courses, the centre is a lively place to enjoy drinks and a meal. All tastes are catered for and the centre's bars include the popular Stray Sod Irish bar. There is a champagne bar, and for food you can't miss the delicious cook yourself steaks at the Argentinean Stone Grill. La Braseria Barbecue does a great value fried fish starter and various venison dishes.
