Playa Flamenca Beach

The lovely Playa Flamenca Beach is one of the most popular on the Orihuela Costa. Along with neighbouring La Zenia, these areas represent the highest concentration of holidaymakers to the Orihuela Costa each year. Their popularity comes from their fantastic coastal position combined with the numerous services, entertainment venues and excellent holiday rental options. Add to this a variety of lively commercial centres, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and the busy Playa Flamenca Saturday Market, and you have an area perfect for a family holiday.

Playa Flamenca Beach

The main Playa Flamenca Beach is just a short walk from the central commercial district and residential areas. The beach is cleaned daily although when the sea gets rough it can bring with it a good amount of algae and seaweed. The fine sand shelves quite gently but there are a few rocks in the water so some visitors wear swimming slippers. At either end of the beach there are rocky areas to explore for those with snorkelling gear.

Lifeguards are on duty and during the summer months there is a first aid post on the beach. Amenities include thatched parasols, sun loungers for hire, foot showers and toilets. there is also a children's play area, beach volleyball and a lively wooden beach bar. The bar serves all sorts of drinks, sangria, cocktails and a selection of snacks such as pizza and hamburgers.

North Beach

A further snack bar with terrace seating and great views can be found above the beach on the picturesque coastal path. The bay a couple of minutes north of Playa Flamenca Beach is similar in size but doesn't have as good facilities. Behind this beach is a small commercial centre where visitors can enjoy refreshments and views in the popular Surfers Bar & Grill. There is also a bakery, ice cream parlour and a couple of eateries including the Lobster Restaurant.

Mil Palmeras Beach

Mil Palmeras Beach (Thousand Palms Beach) lies in the south of Orihuela Costa. The village and resort of Mil Palmeras is located on the banks of the River Seco and is easily accessed by the N-332 dual carriageway.
